Vernetta presently is a Paralegal at a mid-size Law Firm in Baltimore County, Notary Public, and Certified Medical Biller/Collector Coder, CPT, ICD-9 & ICD-10. Vernetta's 30 plus years as a medical biller, which put her in position to become the leader of a workers compensation department for Multi-Specialty Healthcare. Vernetta's lead role gave her the opportunity to show her strengths as a Medical Biller/Collector. She filed issues C51, electronically on the Maryland Workers Compensation Commission for unpaid medical claims, appeared before a commissioner to present unpaid medical expenses, prepared exhibits to present to the commissioner at the Maryland Workers Compensation Commission against well-known employer insurer attorneys.

Vernetta's experiences are not limited to the medical field. She has over 20 years of experience with Accounting/Bookkeeping, as she provided data entry, collection, client invoicing, tracked account receivables, and all bookkeeping services to many independent organizations using Quick Books online & Desktop versions.

Vernetta serves as an Executive board members/Treasurer/Project Manager, of a non-profit organization The Help Outreach Center, Inc, an organization the serves the Baltimore City, Edmondson Village, North Bend, Baltimore County, Catonsville communities.  Vernetta plays a pivotal role with the Free Sterile Tech Preparatory program, which she keeps the Help Outreach Center in compliance, retain partnerships with organizations such as Kaiser Permanente, University of Md- Uplift Alliance Fiscal Sponsor, University MD Upper Chesapeake Medical Center.

Vernetta was nominated and was awarded for the Forward Women's LeadHERship Forum award, for being a pillar of what leadership looks like.

Currently, Vernetta is a member of The American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers Association and studied to become a CB- Certified Public Bookkeeper. She is excited that she became a member of AIPB, they provide monthly updates such as changes in our current tax laws. Vernetta is passionate about her skill set and her ability to multi-task. Downtime for Vernetta is spent with her teenage son to whom she adores, three sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends. She also has two large dogs Bella (South African Boerboel) and Titan (American Bully), which she calls her love bugs.
